About Jaime Ruiz: Yoga Instructor
Jaime is our yoga instructor at VitalShip, she began her yoga journey in 2008 when she took her first yoga class. In 2012, she began practicing yoga daily at her local studio in Portland, OR. Her commitment to her yoga practice helped build physical strength and a calm mind. Jaime knew she wanted to be a yoga teacher when she experienced the healing benefits her practice had on her mind, body and soul. She began activating wellness in her community by recruiting and inspiring people to do yoga with her at her local yoga studio.
In 2016, Jaime attended OHM School Yoga Teacher Training and received her 200 Hour Registered Yoga Alliance Certification. Jaime believes in the holistic health benefits of yoga and meditation. She is committed to showing people how practicing yoga can help them feel good mentally, physically and emotionally.
Everyone has their own yoga journey to wellness and if we look within ourselves we have the power to do anything we set our minds to.
Register for Vitalship Yoga Classes
We’re excited to offer a traditional yoga class Monday through Friday just before work from 7:00 – 8:00 AM, and after your week, Saturdays from 8:00 – 9:00 AM. Modern yoga utilizes the practice of postures and focuses on utilizing the entire body in daily practice.
During Vitalships traditional yoga classes we will practice Hatha Yoga sequences. Each sequence will be designed to align your mind, body and spirit. This yoga is a powerful tool for healing and self-transformation. You will develop strength, flexibility, and a calm mind. In addition to the series of beginners postures we will begin and end each class with a breathing technique. This focus on the breath will bring your attention to the present moment and can be used in and out of the yoga studio.
Yoga Class Rates:
- Single Class: $20
- Packages: $150 for 10 classes OR $360 for 30 classes
Kids is perfect for ages 4-13 and happens every Saturday from 9:00 – 9:30 AM and 9:30 – 10:00 AM. Children will develop mind and body awareness through basic postures and breathing techniques. This will help children build their concentration, manage stress, increase their confidence, and feel connected in a non-competitive environment. This kids yoga will strengthen their inner lights and allow them to shine bright on and off the yoga mat!
Parents are welcome to watch, but we encourage you to take this time to allow children to develop independence and enjoy a little “you time” with a Vitalship massage or acupuncture, doctor’s appointment, or a few quick errands.

Every Wednesday evening from 5 to 6 PM, disconnect from work, and the busy life around you and meditate with us. Meditation, in addition to regular yoga practice, allows the body to relax and let go of daily anxieties, stresses, reduce depression, and focus thoughts inward.
In our Meditation classes we will introduce different techniques that you can use in your daily meditation practice. These techniques include focus on a sound, object, visualization, breath, and movement. We will do a guided meditation together at the end of each class. Daily meditation is an important part of enhancing personal and spiritual growth.
Meditation Class Rates:
- $20 per session
